The Harrison Music Boosters is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides financial support for the band and choral programs in the Southwest Local School District. The legal name of our organization is Southwest Local Junior and Senior High Music Boosters. Our operating name is Harrison Music Boosters.
The vision of the Music Staff, as well as the Music Boosters, is to give our students the opportunity to showcase their musical talents by providing them the best possible equipment and support to achieve their goals.
The Music Boosters provide support for both of our competition groups, Marching Band and DYNAMIX. Marching Band has been growing in number of students as well as in performance ranking. DYNAMIX is new in 2016 and will grow quickly. This growth has increased the financial needs of these programs.
The Harrison Bands consists of the award-winning Harrison Marching Wildcat Band (instrumentalists, color guard, percussion and pit), Concert Band and Jazz Band. The Harrison Choral program consists of DYNAMIX, Concert Choir and Treble Cats. Each of these groups is made up of students who are both talented and dedicated musicians and performers. Most importantly, these students work incredibly hard and long hours to achieve the remarkable level of performance that have earned these programs such high respect and reputation.
